Last night was the season finale of The Biggest Loser Season 12. This finale wasn't as exciting as some in the past. It felt like they were rushing through everything to get to the end. But, it was still fun and I was still excited.
The show aired live 9PM EST. NBC decided they needed to show a special at 8PM about the first six months of William and Kate's marriage. I don't care about them. I don't care about their marriage. I care about the Biggest Loser and that's what I wanted to see. Instead I watched David Archuleta sing with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It was really good. But, anyway, onto the finale.
Like I said, it wasn't as exciting as some in the past. The final three were already determined, so they didn't have to go through that like they've been doing the past few seasons. They brought out the at home contestants in groups of four. They did not weigh in. They had been weighed in before the show (which is what they do anyway, but this time they didn't go through the act of stepping on the scale) and only the top three were to step on The Biggest Loser scale to see who would win the at home prize of $100,000.
The contestants looked good. They all lost weight. The smallest number I think was something like 33 pounds from Debbie. She was the first one sent home so it is understandable that she did not lose as much weight as everyone else. She still looked good and she still lost 33 pounds. That is a good number and it is hard to do on your own. She only got one week at the ranch.
They didn't spend much time on the contestants who were not the top three. They didn't showcase their time on the ranch or anything like that. Alison Sweeney just gave a little blurb about them and told them their results. It was kind of a let down.
The final three for the at home prize were Vinny, Patrick, and Jennifer. Patrick looked amazing. He really did. Jennifer's showcase was on her crush on Bob. She was not liked by her team. They voted her out because she was annoying. She was, I do remember. She has this huge crush on Bob. She kept looking over at him. It was all Bob, Bob, Bob. That was her thing on the ranch, too. She cried hard when she couldn't work with Bob anymore, like her whole life was over. I think that annoyed her team, too. Vinny had been on the show a long time, so we got to know him real well. He was the comedian, the jokester of the group.
Vinny lost 184 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 43%.
Patrick lost 151 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 39%.
Jennifer lost 145 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 44% making her the at home contestant winner.
The last hour was spent on the final three contestants: Ramon, Antone, and John. It was good showing their time on the ranch. I do have to be honest. I was really tired and fell asleep for some minutes. I missed some things. Luckily, I didn't miss any weigh-ins. All three guys looked great. I was cheering for Ramon, but I was happy with any of the guys winning. Ramon looked hot and Anna said so.
Antone the football player lost 202 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 45%.
Ramon the marathon winner dating Jessica lost 154 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 43%.
John the challenges winner lost 220 pounds for a total percentage weight loss of 49% making him The Biggest Loser of season 12! His prize is $250,000 (and of course, losing 220 pounds).
Season 13? Well, it looks like Santa Claus will be at the ranch. Haha, this guy who looks like Santa Claus will be one of the contestants. There are also many more surprises I can't wait to find out.
